The Amalfi Coast is a stunning stretch of coastline in southern Italy, located in the Campania region. It's a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its dramatic landscapes, colorful cliffside towns, crystal-clear waters, and breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea. The region includes picturesque towns like Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, and Atrani, each offering unique charm and beauty.

September is an ideal time to visit the Amalfi Coast. Expect warm, pleasant temperatures ranging from 70-85°F (21-29°C), with plenty of sunshine and minimal rainfall. The summer crowds have thinned out, making it perfect for a wedding and exploring the region. Daytime temperatures are warm and comfortable, with cooler evenings perfect for outdoor events.
-
Yes, absolutely! The Amalfi Coast is famous for its steep terrain and numerous staircases. Many towns are built into steep cliff sides, which means lots of walking up and down stairs. Comfortable walking shoes are essential. If you have mobility concerns, it's important to plan ahead and ask about accessibility at specific venues and accommodations.
-
While learning a few basic Italian phrases is appreciated, English is widely spoken in tourist areas, hotels, restaurants, and among younger locals. In the Amalfi Coast, which is a popular international destination, most hospitality staff and tour operators speak English fluently.
-
The Amalfi Coast is in the Central European Time (CET) zone, which is 6 hours ahead of Eastern Time (ET) in the United States.
-
We recommend arriving 1-2 days before wedding events to help your body adjust to the time difference, overcome jet lag, and have time to explore the area. This will help you feel more rested and enjoy the wedding celebrations fully.
